It's Official!!!! NO more Diapers!!!!

HOORAY!!! We are all potty trained at the Clark House and it feels sooooo good.
Did I mention that it feels good. I went to Costco and did not need to even spend more than $100.oo because we did not buy diapers. Woo Hoo!!! Brianna has been the easiest child to potty train. Granted the week we started she got pneumonia and so she was so timid and willing she just did it. I know that sounds cruel but I did not start potty training with the knowledge that she was sick and when she got really sick there was no turning back we were 2 days into it already. She has only had 2 accidents the whole month and I could just shout Hallelujah!!! OK so maybe I just did. Thanks Brianna for being so willing to make mommy's life easier. Love ya!

Happy Valentine's Day

This year we decided to celebrate a little differently. We decided to share the love as a family instead of just with Brian and I. We got the kids all dressed up and took them out to dinner with us. We made reservations in a restaurant in Springdale called the Spotted Dog Cafe. I know the name is a little sketchy but it is the best fine dining and yummy food. We prepped the kids with all the manner stuff and took the time to show them the napkin on the lap thing and all that good stuff. To our suprise they were so well behaved and it was a great night. So Happy Valentine's to all and know that if you are reading this you are one that is loved by us.

Time To Reflect...

I was chatting on the phone with my cutest sis and she shared a blog with me I think is worth sharing with all of you. Sometimes we forget what we are here in this life to do. Right now my duty in life is to be a mommy and wife. I will shamefully admit that I get so caught up in trying to have a clean house, ironed clothes, dishes done, make-up on and hair done everyday. I sometimes forget to put the laundry down, leave the dishes and forget the make-up. As I sat on the couch after tucking my sweet kids into bed and relished in the quiet moment, I started to read this blog of this mom that is sleeping in a bed at Primary Childrens Hospital just down the hallway from her sweet baby that is fighting for his life because he drowned in the bathtub. I sobbed as I read the whole story http://www.stakezxposed.blogspot.com/ and about how precious life can be. I find myself not always willing to take the time I should to spend it with my sweet munchkins. Soon they will not be here to make noise and mess up the house and I will wished I had taken the time to be with them and create the memories that will go with all of us forever.
This story was truly a wake-up call, that the dishes and laundry will wait and that the time spent with my kids will not. I am so blessed to have them and know how special each one of them are. I only hope that I can live up to my Heavenly Father's expectations when taking care of His children. They are such a beloved blessing in our home. Brian and I can not count the ways that our lives would feel empty if we did not have one of them in our family. I will now promise that the dishes will wait and laundry will pile up(it already does) so that I can focus on the more important task in front of me everyday.

I love you MaKenna, Hunter and Brianna. You are mommy and daddy's little rays of sunshine. You are all very special and unique. Our family would not be the same if you were missing.

Harlem Globetrotters

We went to The Harlem Globetrotters with some good friends on Tuesday night. We went to dinner and then the show. It was a lot of fun and definately something worth doing. Hunter and Kenna couldn't stop talking about all the tricks they did and days later they still are chatting about it. THanks for going with us Hanks Fam, it was a blast!!!

Hunter was mezmerized, he couldn't believe that they could do so many tricks and shoot hoops too.

Brian and MaKenna enjoying the game.

We went on a Cruise with 5 other couples just a couple of weeks ago. It was so much fun and a much needed vacation with my hubby. The time spent together was priceless and full of memories. We stayed up until endless hours of the night playin' games only to be awakened by the lowering of the anchor at early dawn each morning. The dining experience was unforgettable and so delicious. We went horseback riding on the beach, shopping in Mexico and almost para sailing...the boat broke down just as we were all geared up:( Oh well next time. We went to shows and always sat in the same corner and all the waiters knew us as the "virgin" corner since our drinks were always non-alcoholic. The sunsets were amazing and the time with Brian truly was priceless. We decided that we could definitely do this once a month. It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary and take the time to reflect on how far we have truly come. Brian is my best friend and always will be, we are so much closer now than we have ever been and I only hope that we can keep on this path forever. Brian, I am glad you are mine forever and ever. You truly are my best friend and Knight in Shining Armor. I love you. Happy Anniversary!
