Are you kidding...113 degrees??

We went to Quail Lake to have a little hotdog BBQ and use the jet-skiis. It was really nice to be near the water after our great heat wave of 113 degree weather. Can you believe it? Well it was a little overcast for us so it was really enjoyable. It is nice to only live 10 minutes from 2 lakes. Yep we have the heat but there are 9 months that are really awesome weather and when it is that hot you just make it a habit to be near the water at some point during the day.:)

Lake Powell

This past weekend we went to Lake Powell with all the Clarks. Alison(Bri's sis) drove from Minnesota with her fam and arrived here on Thursday. We then ventured to Lone Rock where we set up camp. We had this long stretch of sandy beach that we set up our stomping grounds. And with 4 tents, camping chairs, beach toys and 3 shade stands we covered a long stretch of beach. We rented a boat for 2 days and then Brian and I took our waverunners too. We spent so much quality family time together, it was amazing. Everyone had fun doing wake-boarding, water-skiing, and knee-boarding. Even our 62 year old mother and grandmother got up on her first run at water-skiing. Also take note that she never got her hair wet either....what an awesome lady. After some more fun on the boat on Saturday a storm rolled in and the wind storms are no fun with sand blowin' everywhere. We threw all the tents and "junk" wherever there was place and packed up. Luckily there was not as many losses as there could have been with all our gear. After hours of being sand whipped and getting it all cleaned up, we headed for our house. Yep that's right all 16 of us slept wherever there was a spot open on the floor. Then Sunday morning we woke to the heat and started to get Ground Zero put back together. We now had to unpack the mess and find which poles went to which tent. But that aweful s and was the biggest feat! I do have to say that I would have never thought to use a vacuum on the tents but that was the only thing that worked to get rid of it. After all the tents were cleaned, towels hung to dry and cars clean of sand we went inside for some cool air. We played games and hung out. What a great weekend full of memorable events. Thanks Howards for making the drive, and to everyone else for coming. It would not have been the same without any one of you. Hip Hip Hooray to the Clark Family Vacation!!!

Fun Fourth of July Insanity

This past week my sister came to visit while her hubby was gone with Army. We have had a lot of fun and not slowed down since she got here. Even when we were at home it seemed like chaos because we had six kids under the age of 5....AAAAHHHH!!!! We must be insane....Okay we are! Here are some pics of things we have done this past week. The kids went to swim camp every day last week for tow hours and loved it. Then we went to the splash pad several times too. Then one night Linds and I went to Tuacahn, it was so fun, and a great show, we saw Footloose. It had fabulous dancing and singing. I love going to shows and it was even funner to go with my sis. On the fourth we went to the parade, went to the lake and did a bbq before the fun fireworks. It has been a blast and I am so glad that they came to spend time with us.
