For Valentine's Day we have always chosen to celebrate it as a family. We always dress up and go out to eat at a really nice restaurant. This year instead of going out we stayed home and ate at the Queen of Hearts Kitchen. The kids got invitations from mom and dad to the evening out in the morning before school. When time arrived I blocked off the kitchen with sheets and then cooked away our pink delights while the curious little minds kept calling from the other side. They could hardly wait to see what was going on. Then I seated them all in their places and gave them each a menu. They gave me their order and I returned with their candlelight dinner. On the menu we had pink waffles with a choice of strawberries, raspberries, and cream then pink eggs, bacon and sausage. And for dessert we had pink crepes with nutella, strawberries and cream. And don't forget the pink milk that cupid left too. It was a memorable night and I hope one that sticks with the kids. I love each and every one of them and am so blessed to be their mom.
To top off the night Brian surprised me with my favorite some of my favorite things...a rose, mint truffles and my most favorite a white chocolate caramel apple. Yum. Thanks honey for making me feel special.
