Lake Powell....for reals this time!

Down here in Southern Utah we just can't get enough of all the water activities. There are so many lakes so close to us...who could resist anyhow? Well I guess we can't and we love to spend time as a family and even better if friends join us. We went camping at Lake Powell for the weekend. We packed all our equipment on the boat and went and found ourselves a little cove beach. It was great weather too. I even attempted wake boarding at 4 months pregnant and I did get up, i just could not figure out how to turn the board after that. lol Well maybe I will figure it out next time. MaKenna could not get enough of the tube, we had to make them get off too. And Hunter, he was just content hanging out. We swam a lot to keep cool and just explored. Brian even solemn skied for the first time and he did great too. Let's not forget Brianna, she loved the tube and the rides on the boatie too. Thanks Reynolds for a great weekend together!!

Family Fun!!

This past 5 days my sister and her kids came into town. It was so much fun to spend time toegether. My mom came for the first part and then flew home early. We did a bunch of water activities and lots of boating. It was so great to let the kids play, play, play. And after they were all tucked into bed it was so great to sit and talk until wee hours of the morning with Linds. We are so glad that you guys came to visit before your big move. We love spending time with you!!!
Brianna told me today that she loves Aunt Lindsey and weally(really) misses her too.

The Boatie

Brianna loves the "boatie" and we are getting addicted as a family to going. It is such a fun way for us to spend time together. This last time we went we wanted to teach the kids to ride the tube. It was so much fun. Brian rode with each one of them. Hunter was the most hesitant to get out there but he did and Brianna was the most anxious and so proud when her turn came.
MaKenna tubing and Brianna so anxious to have her turn

Finally her turn...look at the smile:)

Hunter tubing, finally a little bribery got him to go.

Memorial Day Weekend!

We had a great weekend up North with our family. There was so much going on we figured we were due for a visit. First my Dad was leaving for a month long trip to Argentina and Paraguay. If you want to follow their blog it is http://www.utahgse2010.blogspot.com/ . We spent all Firday night helping him get ready and I mean until 3am. And thanks Rich for coming without hesitation to help him until 2am with his computer problems. However we managed to get him all packed and ready for take off before he had to leave the next day at 10am. I know this trip is going to be one that will change mom and dad's lives forever because of the great things he will be doing. GO DAD!!!!
This is a picture of Dad with his team and the team from Argentina/Paraguay
And then it was Ben's 30th Birthday!!! We could not miss that. We had planned a family party for Friday night before Dad left and had some birthday dinner but we also had a little suprise planning going on for Sunday night too. Lindsey took Ben away from the house and while they were away we prepared to have a party. Ben does not like parties very much so we knew that if we planned a party with him knowing he would not come but if he did not know he would have no choice. It was fun and turned out great!!! Ben Happy Birthday and many more too you old man!!
I made homemade ice cream for dessert and so he blew 3 candles out for 30 years
Suprise!!!!

MaKenna's Choir

MaKenna joined a choir this past month. She absolutely loves it and is always asking when its time fro choir. She loves to sing and can't get enough of all the songs. She belts them out at home and in the car. I think we found her niche!!!

Hunter Graduated PreSchool

Hunter had his preschool graduations this past week. He attended two preschools and went to them every other day. He learned so much and grew by leaps and bounds. He is definately ready for Kindergarten. I am so grateful for GREAT teachers who spend so much time and effort with my children. We have truly been blessed. Watch out Kindergarten here comes HUNTER~~we love you Hunter!!!

Lake Powell....here we come...

Or not.....So here is the story....We got a new boat by trade and so we were so excited to take the family out. We decided to pack for the day and head to Lake Powell. We are so lucky we only live a couple of hours from such great places. We had coolers full of food, sunscreen and lots of excitement. We were ready to go and off we went. We knew that the weather was not to be in our favor come the high winds in the afternoon but we were ready to take it on. About an hour into the drive Brian turns to me and says "I don't have the boat keys, they are at home" By this time we are at Fredonia, half way there...AAAHHH!!! He checks the boat because we had seen Brianna with them earlier and had no clue where they would even be. So we turned around to go home and find the keys. We got home and started our search for the the keys that Brianna had been playing with. They could be anywhere!!!!! Brian decided to go and check the boat again and look in all crevices. And by doing this realized that we had lost our back seat to the boat. The winds had started to pick up on our way home and somewhere in between the trip home to get the keys we lost the seat...AAHHHH!!!! We dropped the boat and hopped in the truck and went back on a search for the seat while the kids ate the lunch that was packed for the boat day. We were an hour into the trip back and only 10 minutes from Fredonia when we spotted the seat, HALLELUJAH!!! It was a little damaged but that was better than having to replace the whole seat because we did not find it. We were now headed home to find the keys that were still lost. Home at last with seat in hand. Two hours later after searching the whole house and at everything the baby's height WE FOUND THEM. They were zipped up in one of the little puppy carriers, for their play puppies. No boating today it was nap time now and were so exhausted but maybe another day....we will try again tomorrow.
We ended up going to Sand Hollow the next day and really enjoyed our new boat. The memories are already adding up.
