A Tribute to an Amazing Grandpa

My grandfather passed away this past week. He was an amazing man with more unconditional love and compassion for people than anyone else I know. We looked forward to time with Grandpa no matter what it was that we were doing. Our favorite past time was Easter. As a kid you would think that Christmas, Thanksgiving or something like that would be a favorite but ours was Easter. Every year without fail Grandma and Grandpa would have an Easter Basket hidden in the house for each one of us. But that is not what was so special. What was special was the countless hours that Grandpa would spend with us hiding the eggs over and over again. It is such a treasured memory. He was never too busy to spend time with us. He loved the Saviour and lived the Gospel through his actions and deeds. He truly was an amazing example of what I strive to be. Grandpa, I love you and look forward to the day that I get to see you again.

Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what's to be, A resting place along the road, to sweet Eternity.

We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way, We are all meant to learn some things, But never meant to stay....

Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know, For some the journey's quicker, For some the journey's slow. And when the journey finally ends, We'll claim a great reward, And find an everlasting peace, Together with the Lord.

Is it too EARLY to potty train?

This afternoon we came home had lunch and got ready for naps. I changed Brianna's poopy diaper and put her in her crib minus the pants and shoes. Well about ten minutes later she was still fussing. I typically just let her fuss it out but I decided to give her a drink and lay her back down. I went in the room only to find that she had ripped her diaper off and peed all over the sheets and animals that were in the crib with her. OOPS, I guess I should have put her pants back on her to prevent this diaster. Well, lesson learned I'll be smarter next time!
